CONSUMER BRAND ASSOCIATE @ MIKEWORLDWIDE
At MikeWorldWide, I began as a Summer Intern and returned as a Consumer Brand Associate. I supported PR and media relations campaigns for clients including FanDuel, Tennis Channel, Lineage Logistics, OCVIBE, and nwm headphones. I secured national coverage for nwm with CNN and built and refined targeted media lists for clients. I also contributed to coverage tracking and insights reporting to inform ongoing campaign strategy, and presented a final project to Mattress Firm as part of a client-facing engagement.
nwm HEADPHONES CNN COVERAGE
I secured national coverage for nwm headphones in CNN by building a relationship with CNN reporter Rikka Altland, who expressed interest in testing the product. I invited her to nwm’s New York opening event, where she experienced the headphones firsthand. The product was subsequently featured in CNN’s roundup, "The 40 best products we tried and loved in August."
PRESS RELEASE FOR LINEAGE LOGISTICS
This was one of several press releases I wrote for Lineage Logistics. The release announced the expansion of a new customs-bonded warehouse space in Seattle. I sourced and incorporated a quote from Brian Beattie, President, and conducted additional client research to strengthen the messaging and ensure accuracy.
MATTRESS FIRM FINAL PROJECT
For our final summer intern deliverable, my group presented an integrated PR campaign proposal for Mattress Firm centered on positioning the brand as a lifestyle-driven wellness leader. The campaign, Rest Like a Champion, combined consumer research, target audience insights, influencer strategy, earned media planning, and community storytelling. The aim was to drive in-store traffic and shift brand perception ahead of Black Friday and Giving Tuesday. We presented our final strategy directly to the Mattress Firm client, outlining campaign tactics and recommendations.
